What is Giving Day?

Giving Day is a university-wide effort to inspire Falcons in the University of Texas Permian Basin community to make a gift to support the people, places, and programs that make the university extraordinary. For 24 hours, students, parents, faculty, staff, friends, and alumni unite to support the university.

Why should I participate in Falcon Giving Day?

Gifts add up to make a significant impact. It funds scholarships for students who otherwise would not be able to attend college and supports programs that help us shape extraordinary futures.

How do I donate? 

Make your gift on this site on February 14, 2024! 

To give by check, make it payable to the University of Texas Permian Basin with Falcon Giving Day in the Memo and mail it to:

How do Giving Day challenges work? 

Challenges are gifts that have been made in advance by individuals or groups. They are designed to increase the impact of your support. In many cases, the impact of your gift can be doubled based on the challenge gift associated with your donation.

What other ways can I get involved? 

Help us spread the word by signing up to become an ambassador! Ambassadors are volunteers that help us spread the word about Giving Day on their social media channels. 

Is my contribution tax deductible?

Your gift is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law according to section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

What does my gift support?

It’s up to you! You may designate any area of the university that is important to you. Whether your heart is with your college or school, or you have an interest in a specific research initiative or student program at UTPB, you are free to choose what your gift supports. When you make your gift, you can select from a list of colleges, schools and units.

Can I give to more than one area?

Yes, you can make multiple gifts when you check out. Make sure to select "Add a Donation" on the gift menu to select the other areas you would like to support. Your card will only be charged once for the sum of your donations.

Is there a minimum / maximum donation amount. 

Yes. There is a $5 minimum and a $99,000 maximum donation amount on the online giving page. If you wish to donate $99,000 or more, please contact annual giving at 432-552-2800

The fund I want to support is not listed on the Giving Day website. Can I give to an unlisted fund/project?

If the area you would like to give to is not listed on the Giving Day website, please select any of the options from the first drop down (it does not matter which) and select "Other" from the second drop down. Then, please type in the area you'd like to support in the "Please designate gift below." 

When will my credit card be charged?

Your card will be charged immediately. 

Will I receive a receipt for my contribution? 

Yes, UTPB will send you a gift receipt via email for tax purposes.
